The SPS/IPC/DRIVES fair
Between November 27th and 29th Nürnberg, Germany, hosted the biggest European fair for automation -SPS/ IPC/DRIVES. At this event featuring perfect overview of novelties from the field of automation, world`s renowned companies represented by Kolektor Koling in Slovenia and abroad were presented. Once more this year, visit to the fair and guided tour to exhibition halls were organized for their partners.
At this biggest fair event from the field of automation in Europe in attractive exhibition stands also the companies Eaton, Advantech, Stahl, Jokab Safety, Wieland, Dold and Ege Elektronik their products. Having visited exhibition booths of the companies represented by Kolektor Synatec, the attendants of the two-day expert excursion learned about numerous novelties.
The exhibition stand of Eaton featured a new family of frequency converters, the easy 800 controller unit and MFD Titan with the Bluetooth wireless technology. »As for the SmartWire-DT technology, we saw a connection of soft drives DS7 and a new compact controller unit XC152 with the interface SW-DT,« explained Mr. Igor Jug, program manager in Kolektor Synatec.
According to Mr. Erik Lakner, AE program manager, this year, Advantech was showing numerous novelties: »within the family of fan-free panel computers, the new line of panel computers PPC-3100 is to be highlighted, and the addition to the TPC series: the 18,5- and the 21,5-inch computers with 'multi touch' screen, touch-sensitive with the option of IP65 mechanic protection for the entire panel computer. Presented were also the 18,5- and the 21,5-inch FPM industrial monitors. Advantech has upgraded the UNO industrial compact computers by means of the strongest process technology of Core I5 and Core I7 series. In the field of the HMI panels of the WOP series we saw panels operating on basis of the Windows.« While the new PPC-3100 panel fan-free computer can already be purchased, other novelties will hit the market in the beginning of the next year.
R. STAHL Schaltgeräte GmbH represented a new generation of distributed input-output units build-in-able in the IS1+ explosive atmosphere. The new generation has been improved and features more functions, such as the Profibus redundancy, new input-output modules and new guides. »Having the advantage of over 30 years of experience in the field of solutions for the explosive atmosphere, R. STAHL is capable of fulfilling any task,« assured Mr. Ladislav Kolednik, PDE program manager. Besides the new generation IS1+, Stahl represented a large part of their assortment of switching gear, illumination with LED elements, and control systems to be applied in explosive atmospheres. EGE Elektronik presented a new family of flow sensors incl. various process connections for different measuring ranges, and Dold, one of the leading producers of modules for control of distribution spots in devices for production of elec. energy, presented a new module - the Varimeter RP9810 – developed on basis of a new guideline VDE-AR-N 4105.
In three days, over 1,450 exhibitors attracted almost 60,000 visitors – which is more than last year. This is proof enough that this fair is truly the leading event in the field of automation.
